Racheal Dean

Rachael is an accounts administrator and bookkeeper for a builders merchants. She has served as a governor for over 5 years, progressing from Parent Governor to Chair. Rachael enjoys traveling and socializing with friends and family. With her children previously attending Leighton and her involvement in the PTFA, she is passionate about supporting and promoting the school.

Helen Holland

Helen is Assistant Head and SENDCo at The Oaks Academy. She joined Leighton’s governing board to learn more about primary education and offer SEND expertise. This is her first governance role. Helen enjoys crafts and technology and is passionate about supporting school development and progress.

Jacqueline Beeston

Jacqueline is retired but spent many years working at Leighton, first in the Special Needs Unit and later in Early Years. She brings a wealth of experience and insight to the governing body. Jacqueline enjoys gardening, travel, music, arts and crafts, and games. Despite mobility challenges, she remains committed to supporting the school through events and activities. She finds the governor role inspiring and values the shared passion among board members.

Michelle Noble

Michelle is a Senior Lecturer in Higher Education, leading the BA Special and Inclusive Education programme. With over 31 years in education, she brings a wealth of experience and a strong professional network to her role as a school governor. Her motivation stems from a desire to stay connected to school life, which enriches her work training future teachers. Passionate about supporting staff and students, she values being part of processes such as Ofsted and monitoring visits. Though her full-time lecturing role limits daytime availability, she remains a committed and enthusiastic contributor. Outside of education, Michelle enjoys playing guitar and piano, reading, and celebrating the achievements of the school community.
